statement

I like to know how things work, take them apart and make new things out of the parts. I have an affinity for engineering, but I'm too emotional to focus on efficiency. I tend to systematize and deconstruct, but I make no distinction between machine and human, so I think about programming not only a computer, but also the people who connect to it.

I want whoever interacts with my work to understand the rules of the game, but to feel like breaking them. I am currently testing this through the use of motion sensors, motorized mechanisms, sound synthesis and images produced with artificial intelligence, although my academic training has been in pictorial image. My fascination is with technique, I agree with McLuhan when he says that the medium is the message, so I have studied music, drawing, painting and programming.

Sound art has been the way in which I have been able to combine everything and at the same time force myself to experiment much more.
